Your ACA Employee Organization: What Is It?

Just like DOC's "org chart", there is a structural organization for ACA, both "downline" and "upline". ACA is actually under the umbrella of the Arizona Police Association, or APA.  Our membership in  APA provides us far more in the way of legal and legislative representation and resources. Because we made the decision to join APA from the very beginning of ACA, we have access to almost unlimited legal representation and we enjoy all the benefits the larger employee organizations have fought and won for all its members. We have a network that includes DPS, all the large city police departments, many county sheriff's office agencies, and others. We are over 15,000 members strong.

The Rotation is Under Review

Due to a whole lot of issues with the current rotation policy that have been voiced to Director Ryan by many staff as well as administrators, Mr. Ryan has created a Rotation Review Committee. Although the director will not consider eliminating the rotation altogether, he has indicated that every other aspect of the rotation policy is subject to change.
